Computer vision system prototyped using high level synthesis tools

Hella Aglaia Mobile Vision GmbH has designed its Automatic Passenger Counting System (AVC 1) using Impulse C high level synthesis tools and Xilinx FPGAs. The tools provide a C programming interface to quickly prototype hardware systems. According to a press release, there was a significant reduction in development time.
