PhD position: Experienced researcher in Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery for VIGO (SPAIN)
We are looking for an expert in data mining, data fusion and knowledge discovery, with a
strong background in statistics and/or signal processing. This researcher will complement Gradiant’s current skills in multimodal signal processing and data analysis applied to:
• Human-Computer Interfaces (HCI),
• Distributed databases/business intelligence,
• Signal detection from distributed sensors for cognitive radio
• Online and social media
Description
We are looking for an expert in data mining, data fusion and knowledge discovery, with a
strong background in statistics and/or signal processing. This researcher will complement Gradiant’s current skills in multimodal signal processing and data analysis applied to:
• Human-Computer Interfaces (HCI),
• Distributed databases/business intelligence,
• Signal detection from distributed sensors for cognitive radio
• Online and social media
The recruited expert will contribute to the joint development of practical applications in at least one of the following fields:
• Prediction of market trends
• Prediction of energy demand in smart grids and complex facilities such as datacenters
• Marketing and sentiment analysis based on online and social media
• Root Cause Analysis to determine problem causes in complex systems, such as telecommunications services or networks
• Analysis and prediction of network traffic performance
• Privacy-preserving data mining
The research tasks to be accomplished by the recruited researcher will generate new projects in Gradiant and complement other currently active projects.
