AS&E specializes in detection technologies that can uncover dangerous and elusive threats, including explosives, plastic and metal weapons, and radioactive devices, such as dirty bombs and nuclear WMD. AS&E systems also detect commonly smuggled goods, such as drugs and alcohol. These X-ray systems are deployed worldwide at ports and borders, and military and high-threat facilities.

The qualified candidate will perform various image processing tasks and support the image processing team. The focus will be on developing operator assist algorithms, with emphasis on multi-view systems; for both Backscatter and Transmission imaging modalities. This position will also support the full product cycle including algorithm development, prototyping and testing, and productization.

Qualifications:
M.S. Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent field with relevant research/work experience
2 years minimum experience is required, with emphasis on image processing
Must have solid software skills with emphasis on Matlab and C++/C#, .NET and Object Oriented programming with emphasis on Image Processing
Must have signal and image processing and enhancement skills, image scene understanding, pattern recognition and computer vision
Self-starter and capable of working in a fast paced environment
Ability to come up with new ideas as well as communicate them to the rest of the Science team
