Internship with Networking & Communications Research Group in Los Angeles
Job Requirements:
The candidate is expected to have the following skill set
• Well versed with OSI architecture, specifically Network and MAC layer protocols
• Familiar with Linux operating system architecture, commands, and kernel
• Well versed with different ad hoc wireless network environments, and Unicast and Multi-cast routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, OLSR, PIM, ODMRP etc.)
• Excellent programming skills in C/C++, scripting languages like Perl and networking programming experience
Education:
A qualified student from Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related areas with Master or Ph.D program

UC seeks outstanding candidates for an internship position for its networking and communications research group. The intern will develop, port, and test UC’s proprietary multicast routing protocol in asymmetric wireless ad hoc networks using Linux platform. The candidate should be willing to work hard, demonstrate good team-working skills, able to learn quickly and should be comfortable working in cross-disciplinary projects.
