Nao - robot develops and shows emotions
Researchers at the University of Hertfordshire have created software for the Nao robot to develop and show its emotions. Led by professor Lola Cañamero, the project is looking at non-verbal cues and emotions that are shown through posture, gestures and body movements rather than just facial or verbal expression. The Nao robot can form bonds with people and it learns a person's moods using on its onboard sensors. According to the Guardian web article, this represents the first robot able to develop and show its emotion.
