New book on information theory for computer vision

A new book exploring the application of methods from information theory to computer vision problems has been published by Springer. Information Theory in Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition by Francisco Escolano, Pablo Suau, and Boyán Bonev has chapters on Interest Points, Edges and Contour Grouping; Contour and Region Based Image Segmentation; Registration, Matching, and Recognition; Image and Pattern Clustering; Feature Selection and Transformation; and Classifier Design.
