Planorama has an immediate 6-months research internship opening in the area of specific object recognition.
Planorama is a young french award-winning company bringing the power of cutting-edge computer vision research applications to merchandising professionals.

Planorama is developing algorithms to extract information from complex images, presenting specific challenges. The focus is on image retrieval from moderate-size but challenging databases with a huge number of real-world queries. Top performance is required.

In this problem-solving context, the intern will be mentored by a PhD in the field and encouraged to push the most grounded knowledge to the test. The intern will have the prospect of seeing their successful developments used everyday by the company production department in the near future.

Candidates are MS students having high analytical qualities with a solid theoretical basis, and preferably project experience in one or more of the following subjects: image processing; object recognition; image retrieval; machine learning.

The intern is expected to be comfortable with C++. Python is a plus.

Planorama is located in a typical popular district in the wonderful town of Paris. The intern will be part of a small dynamic team of developers, in a larger international set of employees. Proficiency in english or french is required.
