Honeywell Advanced Technology Laboratory is seeking candidates for Computer Vision Research Scientist, and it is an opportunity for you to contribute to break-through technologies in computer vision applications.
Honeywell’s Advanced Technology Laboratory is looking for scientists that demonstrated their technical expertise through publications and/or participation to large research programs in the field of computer vision, and biometrics.
This position requires a thorough understanding of the state-of-the-art methodologies and practices in related fields. It will require innovative design of computer vision algorithms for various video and biometrics applications, to create a differentiating technology for future Honeywell products.
Candidates will participate in technology development, advance concepts design, proposal writing and program management. In their role they will lead technical teams and interact with Honeywell business units and contract agencies, including US government agencies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or applied mathematics with dissertation or post graduate research specializing in image analysis, or computer vision.
- Minimum of 3 years of research with publications specializing in image analysis or computer vision.
- Minimum of 3 years of development experience with MS Visual Studio, C, C++, and MATLAB or similar tools.
- U.S. citizenship.
Note: Permanent resident status may be accepted depending on other factors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent video algorithm development and strong software engineering skills.
- Proven innovation and reduction to practice of algorithms for solving practical problems.
- Knowledge of video surveillance, content-based video indexing, biometrics, face recognition algorithms, computational imaging, multi-spectral imaging applications and signal processing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain government security clearance.
