Boulder Imaging develops and builds cutting-edge real-time digital image acquisition and processing systems through software applications and state-of-the-art hardware. We are a 14 year old company currently experiencing a rapid growth phase. We are well entrenched in a number of significant market segments including aerospace, machine vision, medicine and defense.

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for assisting sales staff in all aspects of technical sales support. The primary objective will be understanding client’s technical requirements and ensuring clarity of definition, providing Sales with recommended solutions for presentation.

The ideal candidate must be self motivated with proven track record in technical software sales. The individual must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate both written and verbally at the highest professional level.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering a plus
• 3+ years of direct experience in the digital video recording industry
• Data acquisition experience and knowledge of imaging industry and imaging applications
• Knowledge of visible and infared cameras and imaging sensors is imperative
• Experience with designing accurate solutions with excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical jargon, features, and capabilities to benefits and laymen explanations – and vice versa
• Experience with Project Management
• Demonstratable experience working independently and assuring follow up to completion of responsibilities
• In-depth knowledge of digital and streaming media formats, content delivery networks, storage and networking infrastructure, database processes and other related specifications for handling broadcast, wireless and web video, audio and image formats.
• Experience in providing training to internal and external customers

Desired Skills:
• History as a sales engineer a plus
• Capable of rapidly learning new technologies
• Problem Solving Skills
• An understanding of sales and the sales cycle
• The ability to present a product demonstration
• Capable of identifying areas of inefficiencies and working through them in a logical rational and team focused manner
