Seeing Machines signs first customer for driver monitoring system
Australian company Seeing Machines has reached an agreement with mining company Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold to sell its Driver State Sensor (DSS) systems. The system uses computer vision to monitor a driver's eyelid closure and head positions and activates alarms if the driver appears to be drowsy or inattentive. The system does not require calibration for individual drivers. More information is available in a news article.
