Video Analytics Research Engineer

Department Description:

The Applications & Analytics Architecture group within Motorola Solutions’ Chief Technology Office performs research and development on video, image, audio, and data analysis algorithms, applications, and services, to develop next-generation public safety and enterprise solutions.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Research, develop, implement, and test computer vision and video/image analysis algorithms, and their application to promising new business opportunities.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to develop system prototypes, integrating video/image analytics algorithms and software.
• Generate patent disclosures covering the algorithms created and the systems enabled.
• Present results and demonstrations of research at internal meetings, meetings with customers, and external professional conferences.

Initial responsibilities will focus on developing computer vision algorithms and system prototypes that recognize multiple objects within images for commercial and/or public safety applications.
